Instructions

1.In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves for the spice mix.
2.In a large mixing bowl cream together butter and brown sugar until creamy.

4.Gradually mix in dry ingredients spice mix in the butter mixture.
5.Shape the dough into a disk and wrap in plastic wrap, refrigerate for 1 hour or more.
6.Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and line the baking sheet with parchment paper.
7.On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thick and use a cookie cutter to cut into shapes.
8.Transfer cookies to the prepared sheet and bake for about 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
9.Remove from the oven and allow to cool. Store in an airtight container once cooled to retain their crispness.
