Ingredients

3 -4 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup milk , warm
2 teaspoons orange blossom water or 2 tablespoons orange peel , greated
1 teaspoon vanilla
6 cups flour ( if necessary more )
1 teaspoon baking powder
sesame seeds ( for topping ) ( optional )
sugar ( for topping ) ( optional )
1 egg , beaten ( for topping ) ( optional )

Instructions

1.In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs and salt together until light and fluffy.

4.In a separate bowl, sift together flour and baking powder.
5.Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
6.Knead the dough for a few minutes until smooth and elastic.
7.Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C.
8.Divide the dough into small balls of about 1-2 tablespoons.
9.Flatten each ball slightly and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
10.Brush each flattened dough ball with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds and/or sugar.
11.Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
12.Let the cookies cool down before serving.
