5 lbs beef roast ( either chuck or rump )
1 onion , peeled and sliced
3 bay leaves
1 teaspoon peppercorn
salt and pepper , to taste
vinegar
water
1 tablespoon flour
1/3 cup water

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 350F degrees.

8.In a small bowl, mix the flour and 1/3 cup of water to make a slurry.
9.Add the slurry to the juices in the pot, stir well and cook for 10-15 minutes, until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
