Ingredients

1 tablespoon butter
1 cup rice
1/4 cup seedless raisin
6 whole cloves
5 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1 -2 slice fresh ginger ( thin slices )
2 1/2 cups cold water

Instructions

1.Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a pot over medium heat.

4.Pour 2 1/2 cups of cold water into the pot and add 2 tablespoons of butter, stirring again.
5.Cover the pot and cook over low heat until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender (about 20-25 minutes).
