Ingredients

7/8 cup barley
3 quarts water
1 cup raisins
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice ( fresh is best )
1 cinnamon stick
1 pint wine or 1 pint sherry wine

Instructions

1.Rinse the barley in cold water and drain it.
2.Put the barley in a saucepan with water and bring it to boil.

4.Let it simmer for 30 minutes.
5.Remove the cinnamon stick and serve hot.
