2 cups whole wheat pastry flour | |
1/2 cup raw sugar ( like sucanat ) | |
1/2 lb butter | |
1 pinch salt |
1. | Preheat the oven to 300°F. |
2. | In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar and salt. |
3. | Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. |
4. | Form the dough into a disk and wrap it in plastic. |
5. | Chill the dough for at least 1 hour. |
6. | Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness. |
7. | Cut dough into desired shapes. |
8. | Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until edges are golden brown. |
9. | Cool before serving. |
