The recipe calls for green tomatoes, which are not yet ripe and offer a slightly tart flavor that pairs perfectly with the crispy coating. The dish has a slightly spicy kick from the hot sauce, which can be adjusted to taste. Fried green tomatoes can be served with a variety of dipping sauces, but they taste great on their own too. They are a perfect addition to any Southern-themed party or backyard barbecue.

Instructions

1.In a small bowl, mix together the hot sauce, flour, brown sugar, grill seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
2.In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.

4.Dip each tomato slice first into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and finally into the bread crumbs, pressing the crumbs onto the tomato slices.
