White Chocolate Blueberry Scones are a delicious twist on traditional scones. These scones are tender and buttery, yet studded with juicy blueberries and sweet white chocolate chips. They’re perfect for breakfast or brunch with family and friends, or for enjoying on your own with a cup of coffee. Scones keep well for a few days when stored in an airtight container at room temperature. To reheat, simply warm them up in the oven or microwave for a few seconds.

Instructions

.Preheat the oven to 375°F (191°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
.In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until thoroughly blended.
.Add chilled unsalted butter to the mixture and use your fingers or a pastry blender to work the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
.Mix in white chocolate chips and blueberries, then add buttermilk and stir with a rubber spatula until a shaggy dough forms.
.Turn the dough onto a floured work surface and knead it a few times until it comes together.
.Pat the dough into a circle that’s about 3/4 inch thick, then cut it into eight wedges.
.Place the scones on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with buttermilk.
.Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
.Let cool for 5 minutes, then sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
