1 ounce lard ( cold )
4 -5 large cooking apples ( Bramleys are great )
5 ounces wensleydale cheese , sliced
3 ounces sugar
1 pinch salt

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven at 375F.
2.In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.

4.Add 2-3 tbsp of ice water to bind the dough.

8.Arrange sliced Wensleydale cheese over the apple filling.
9.Roll out the remaining dough and cover the filling with it.
10.Seal the edges of the pie using a fork.
11.Cut slits on the top of the pie to allow steam to escape while baking.
12.Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes until the top of the pie turns brown in color and the apple filling starts bubbling.
