V's Tri-Tip Marinade is a popular dish in the west coast of the US, especially in California where it is a favorite for outdoor BBQs. Tri-tip is a cut of beef from the bottom sirloin, which is known for its rich flavor and texture. The marinade is made with a balance of acidic and sweet flavors, which complement the natural flavor of the meat. The marinade also helps to tenderize the meat, making it more succulent and juicy. When cooked to medium-rare, the roast is tender and flavorful, with a crispy and caramelized exterior. It's perfect for serving with roasted vegetables or a simple salad for a healthy and satisfying meal.

Instructions

1.In a large bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, canola oil, sugar, soy sauce, black pepper, garlic powder, kosher salt, onion salt, paprika, lemon pepper, minced garlic, and minced dried onion, until completely combined.
2.Trim the tri-tip roast and place it in a large plastic bag.
3.Pour the marinade mixture into the bag, seal it tightly, and shake the bag to completely coat the roast.
4.Refrigerate the bag for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the marinade to penetrate the meat.
5.Preheat the grill to medium-high heat for at least 10 minutes.
6.Remove the roast from the plastic bag and discard the marinade.
7.Grill the roast for 25-30 minutes, or until it reaches the desired internal temperature of 135°F for medium-rare.
