Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2.In a large mixing bowl, combine feta cheese, cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, eggs, and black pepper. Mix well.
3.Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with melted butter.
4.Unroll phyllo pastry and cover with a damp kitchen towel.
5.Take one sheet of phyllo pastry, brush it with melted butter, and place it in the baking dish. Repeat until you have six layers.
6.Spread 1/3 of the cheese mixture onto the phyllo.
7.Repeat layers twice more.
8.Top with six more layers of phyllo pastry, brushing each layer with melted butter.
9.Brush the top layer with melted butter and sprinkle with water.
10.Using a sharp knife, cut the tyropita into squares or diamond shapes.
11.Bake for approximately 50 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
