Ingredients

200 g self raising flour
50 g butter , softened
25 g porridge oats
75 g grated mature cheddar cheese
150 ml milk
1 pinch salt

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 220°C (200°C fan)
2.In a large bowl, mix the self raising flour, butter, porridge oats, grated mature cheddar cheese and salt together
3.Gradually add the milk to the mixture, stirring all the while, until it is all combined
4.Roll out the mixture on a floured surface until it is about 2-3cm thick
5.Cut into rounds using a 5cm cutter or a glass
6.Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and brush the tops with a little milk
7.Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes until golden-brown
8.Serve warm or freshly baked with butter or cream cheese on top
