Ingredients

1 1/2 cups semolina
1 1/2 cups flour

Instructions

5.While the basboosa is baking, mix together the sugar, water, lemon juice, and either rose water or orangeblossom water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and allow the mixture to simmer for 10 minutes until it thickens into a syrup.
6.Remove the basboosa from the oven and pour the syrup over the top. Allow it to sit for 10-15 minutes to allow the syrup to soak in before slicing and serving.
