Ingredients

1 whole fresh salmon
3/4 teaspoon granulated garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon seasoning salt
1 1/2 teaspoons dried dill weed or 4 sprigs fresh dill
1 medium onion , sliced
1 large lemon , sliced
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup water

Instructions

1.Preheat oven or grill to 400 degrees F.
2.Clean fish and remove skin. Leave fish whole. Pat dry.
3.Mix garlic, black pepper, seasoning salt and dried dill or fresh dill together and rub down salmon inside and out.
4.Layer the onion and lemon slices into the fish cavity, trying to keep as many as possible inside the fish.
5.Drizzle or brush outside of fish with olive oil. Then follow with water.
6.Wrap the whole salmon completely in heavy duty aluminum foil.
7.Bake in the oven for 20-30 minutes or on the grill for 18-25 minutes or until done.
8.Carefully remove from foil and serve whole or in fillets.
