2 teaspoons crushed thymol seeds ( ajwain )
2 tablespoons melted ghee
oil , to deep fry

Instructions

1.In a large bowl, mix the gram flour and rice flour together.
2.Add salt, red chili powder, asafoetida powder, crushed thymol seeds and melted ghee. Mix well.
3.Gradually add water, a little at a time, and mix to form a smooth and thick dough.
4.Heat oil in a deep pan.
5.Fill the sev or oma podi maker with the dough and press it directly onto the hot oil in a circular motion.
6.Fry on medium heat until they turn a light golden brown color.
7.Remove using a slotted spoon, and place on a paper towel to remove excess oil. Store in an airtight container.
