CONS

Tyropita is a high-fat, high-calorie dish that should be enjoyed in moderation as part of a balanced diet.

It’s important to brush each layer of pastry with plenty of butter to ensure that it crisps up nicely, but this means that it is not a low-fat option.

HEALTH & BENEFITS

Despite its high fat content, Tyropita does have some nutritional benefits.
Both feta and cottage cheese are good sources of protein and calcium, which are essential for maintaining strong bones, teeth, and muscles.
The addition of eggs to the filling also increases the protein content, making the pie more satiating.
However, due to the high calorie and fat content, it’s best to enjoy this dish in moderation as part of a healthy, balanced diet.
