1 bunch radish , stems removed and wash thoroughly
1/4 cup scallions , sliced ( not original to recipe ) or 1 -2 tablespoon fresh chives ( not original to recipe )
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon sumac , approximately
salt , sparingly ( read Tip below in the directions )
fresh curly-leaf parsley , chopped ( fresh only ! )
lemon zest
3 lemon slices
Turp Salatsi is a traditional salad from the eastern Black Sea region of Turkey. This tangy and refreshing salad is made with thinly sliced radishes, fresh parsley, and lemon juice, making it perfect for those hot summer days when you need something to cool you down. Instructions

1.Slice the cleaned and de-stemmed radishes thinly, keeping them uniform in size.
2.In a mixing bowl, mix the sliced radishes, scallions or fresh chives, lemon juice, sumac, and salt together. Be sparing with the salt as the sumac can be quite tangy.
3.Gently mix in the chopped parsley and lemon zest.
4.Transfer the salad to a serving bowl and arrange the lemon slices around the edges. Serve chilled.
