12 spring roll wrappers , non-translucent or 12 egg roll wrappers or lumpia skins
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
6 slices jackfruit , cut lengthwise ( optional )
1 teaspoon cinnamon ( optional )
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon starch
1 cup oil , for deep frying
