Turkish Coffee Brewing is an iconic drink enjoyed in Turkey and throughout the world. Dating back to the 16th century, this method of brewing coffee is steeped in tradition and ceremony. When serving Turkish coffee, it is important to let the drinker know the number of sugar in the coffee before serving.

Instructions

1.Powder the coffee beans until they are very fine.
2.For each serving, add one teaspoon of coffee and sugar (if desired) into the cezve (coffee pot) along with 2-3 cardamom pods.
3.Add enough water to fill the pot and stir gently.
4.Heat the cezve over low heat and allow the coffee to slowly come to a boil, watching carefully to avoid spilling over.
5.Once the mixture comes to a boil, remove from heat and pour into a cup, letting the grounds settle for a few seconds before serving.
