Ingredients

3 tablespoons olive oil
2 yellow onions , chopped
3 -4 tart plums , cored and chopped ( greengage variety is good )
1 bunch fresh dill , minced
3 tablespoons of fresh mint , chopped ( soak in a few spoonfuls of water ) or 1 tablespoon dried mint ( soak in a few spoonfuls of water )
1/2 cup fresh parsley , chopped
1/4 cup rice
4 -6 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoons tomato paste
1 lb stewing beef or 1 lb beef brisket , cooked and chopped
meat stock or water , to cover
salt and pepper

Instructions
