Ingredients

4 -6 thinly sliced steak
1 small onion , chopped
9 -12 slices uncooked bacon
3 tablespoons olive oil
pickle , chopped
dry mustard
salt
pepper
1 cup beef stock
3 tablespoons sour cream
1 tablespoon cornstarch
Traditional Polish Beef Roll, or Rouladen, is a hearty and flavorful dish that has been enjoyed by Polish families for generations. Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2.In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
3.Sauté onions until soft. Add the chopped pickle and sauté for another minute.
4.Lay the steak out on a work surface. Sprinkle each steak with salt, pepper, and dry mustard.
5.Lay 1-2 strips of bacon on each steak. Spoon the pickle and onion mixture on the bacon. Roll each steak up and secure with toothpicks.
6.Heat olive oil in the same skillet over high heat. Sear the beef rolls on each side until browned.
7.Remove the beef rolls from the skillet and place in a baking dish. Pour beef stock into the skillet and stir to scrape off any browned bits. Pour the beef stock into the baking dish.
8.Bake covered for 30 minutes. Remove the cover and bake for another 10-15 minutes until beef is cooked through.
9.Remove the toothpicks from each beef roll.
10.Mix the sour cream and cornstarch, add the mixture to the beef stock in the skillet. Whisk until the sauce thickens. Pour the sauce over the beef rolls, serve with mashed potatoes or bread dumplings.
