Instructions

4.Pull one end of strip through slit in the center and twist.
5.In a deep fryer or large heavy skillet, heat oil or shortening to 375 degrees F.
6.Fry cookies a few at a time until golden brown, turning once.
7.Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
8.Sprinkle with sugar, if desired.
