Ingredients

1 package Johnsonville & # 174 ; Mild Italian Sausages ( Ground or de-cased links )
1/4 cup olive oil , separated
2 loaves focaccia bread , cut into 1-in . cubes
1 teaspoon fresh coarse ground black pepper
1 cup parmesan cheese , shredded
1 small green pepper , diced
1/2 cup sun-dried tomato packed in oil , chopped
1/2 cup pimento stuffed olive , chopped
5 large fresh basil leaves , chopped
2 garlic cloves , minced
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups water or 1 1/2 cups white wine
1/4 cup butter , cubed
Traditional Italian Sausage Stuffing is a classic Italian appetizer or side dish that is typically served during the holiday season. Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375 F and grease a 9x13 baking dish.
2.In a large skillet, cook the Johnsonville® Mild Italian Sausage and 2 tbsp of olive oil over medium-high heat for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally until browned.
3.Remove sausage from skillet and transfer to a large mixing bowl.
4.Add remaining olive oil (2 tbsp) to the skillet and sauté the bread cubes with black pepper until crispy and golden brown.
5.Transfer bread cubes to the mixing bowl with the sausage.
6.Add parmesan cheese, green pepper, sun-dried tomatoes, pimento stuffed olives, basil leaves and minced garlic to the mixing bowl and stir well.
7.In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and water (or white wine) and pour over the stuffing mixture, stirring to combine everything.
8.Transfer the entire mixture to the prepared baking dish and dot with butter cubes on top.
9.Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the top is crisp and browned.
