Making Limoncello at home is easy and rewarding, and allows you to enjoy the authentic Italian flavor without additives or preservatives.

Instructions

1.Start by washing and peeling the lemons, leaving the white pith behind, and place the peels in a jar with a tight-fitting lid.
2.Cover the peels with the alcohol and seal the jar, then let stand in a cool, dark place for 10 days, shaking the jar every 2-3 days.
3.After 10 days, strain the mixture through a cheesecloth and discard the lemon peels.
4.In a saucepan, combine the water and sugar, and bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Let cool to room temperature.
