Ingredients

150 g refined flour or 150 g all-purpose flour
salt , to taste
1/3 teaspoon pink food coloring ( optional )
1 tablespoon milk
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
water , to knead
120 g sugar
oil , to fry
3 tablespoons ghee ( clarified butter )
1/3 teaspoon vanilla essence
Tosha Balls are a popular dessert in Nepal and South Asia. Instructions

1.In a mixing bowl, combine the refined flour, salt and pink food coloring (if using).
2.Add milk, baking powder, ghee and vanilla essence.
3.Mix well and knead into a soft dough using enough water.
4.Cover and keep aside for 5 minutes.
5.Divide the dough into equal-sized balls then flatten using your palm
6.Heat oil in a deep-frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, drop a few flattened balls to the pot.
7.Fry until golden brown on both sides.
8.Once golden brown, remove with a slotted spoon and transfer onto a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
9.Repeat until all flattened balls are fried.
10.Sprinkle sugar over the freshly prepared Tosha balls, allow to cool and serve!
