2 large onions
1 cup flour
8 large ripe tomatoes , of the heritage types
2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons white pepper
6 garlic cloves , peeled , crushed and chopped
1/2 cup chopped parsley
2 tablespoons finely grated fresh lemon rind
oil ( for frying )

Instructions
