Ingredients

2 lbs plum tomatoes or 2 lbs roma tomatoes
3 -4 ounces blended scotch whisky
3 -4 cloves garlic , crushed
salt and pepper
Tomato and Whisky Sauce is a delicious and versatile sauce that can be used in a variety of dishes. Instructions

1.Preheat a large saucepan
2.Cut an 'X' into the base of each tomato
3.Put the tomatoes in the saucepan and cover with boiling water
4.Cook for 2-3 minutes until the skin starts to peel
5.Drain and then peel the skin off the tomatoes
6.Return the peeled tomatoes to the saucepan and add the garlic, salt, and pepper
7.Cook for 10-15 minutes until the tomatoes break down
8.Remove from heat and blend until smooth
9.Return to the saucepan and stir in the whisky
10.Cook for another 2-3 minutes to cook off the alcohol
