Ingredients

6 cups reduced-sodium fat-free chicken broth
4 slices lime zest ( long strips )
1 lemongrass , halved and crushed
1/2 habanero pepper , minced
1 cup shiitake mushroom , thinly sliced
1/2 lb large shrimp , peeled and deveined
1/4 cup lime juice
2 teaspoons nam pla , sauce
1 medium tomatoes , cut into wedges
2 green onions , thinly sliced
1 cup light coconut milk
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro , chopped
1 1/2 teaspoons dark sesame oil
3 cups snow peas , trimmed
1 teaspoon fresh ginger , minced
2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Tom Yum Goong, also known as hot and sour soup Thai style, is a popular soup dish in Thailand. This soup is a perfect combination of sour, sweet, Salty and spicy sensations.The soup has a herbal fragrance coming from lemongrass, galangal root, kaffir lime leaves and chili. Instructions

1.In a large pot, bring the chicken broth, lime zest, lemongrass, and habanero pepper to a boil.
2.Add in the shiitake mushrooms, shrimp, lime juice, nam pla sauce, tomatoes, and green onions.
3.Reduce heat to medium and let simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4.Add in the light coconut milk, cilantro, sesame oil, snow peas, ginger, soy sauce, and black pepper.
5.Continue to simmer for another 5 minutes, or until the snow peas are tender.
6.Remove the lemongrass and lime zest before serving.
