Originating from the Veneto region of Italy, it is a sweet, layered dessert that features soft and moist ladyfingers that are soaked in espresso coffee and layered with a light and creamy mixture of mascarpone cheese, sugar, and eggs. The dessert is then topped with a dusting of cocoa powder or grated chocolate to give it a bittersweet flavor. The Tiramisu recipe from Balducci's in New York City is a variation on the traditional recipe that adds Marsala wine, triple sec, brandy, and orange extract to the mascarpone mixture, giving it a more complex and flavorful profile.

Instructions

1.Take the separated egg yolks and whisk them with 3 tablespoons of sugar until they become frothy.
2.In another bowl, whip mascarpone with marsala, triple sec, brandy, & orange extract until light and fluffy.
