4 cloves

1 cup heavy cream , whipped

5.In a saucepan, combine the red wine, sugar, lemon and orange zest, juice, and spices.

7.Remove the cinnamon stick and cloves, and allow the mixture to cool.
8.In a separate mixing bowl, whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
9.Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the egg yolk mixture, being careful not to deflate the whites.
10.Gradually add the cooled mulled wine to the egg mixture, stirring gently to combine.
11.Pour the mixture into the prepared pudding cups and place in a baking dish.
12.Add hot water to the baking dish to come halfway up the sides of the pudding cups.
13.Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown and set.
14.Serve the puddings warm, topped with whipped cream.
