1 cup dried fruit , chopped
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 cup maraschino cherry , patted dry , halved

Instructions

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour and 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour.
2.Add 1/4 ounce of fresh yeast, 1/3 cup of granulated sugar, and 1/4 cup of lukewarm milk to the bowl and mix well.
3.Mix in 1 tablespoon of lukewarm milk, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1 chopped lemon, 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom, and 1 whole egg and 1 egg yolk.
4.Fold in 1/2 cup of raisins soaked in rum and 1 cup of chopped dried fruit.
5.Beat the egg white until stiff and fold into the dough gently.
6.Preheat oven to 375°F.
7.Butter and flour a 9-inch cake pan and pour the dough into the prepared pan.
8.Bake the cake for 45-50 minutes. Remove from oven and let it cool down.
9.Mix 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and drizzle over the cake.
10.Garnish with maraschino cherries and sliced nuts as desired.
