140 g cream ( or hung yogurt )
200 g water
1 tablespoon tomato puree
2 bay leaves , fresh
6 cardamom pods
4 whole cloves
5 cm cinnamon sticks
1 teaspoon oil
1000 g chicken , boneless and skinless cut into bite sized pieces
1 teaspoon garam masala ( optional )

Instructions

1.Preheat the Thermomix to 100C.
2.In the mixing bowl, add cashews, garlic cloves, ginger, and onion. Mix for 5 seconds on speed 7.
3.Add oil, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, turmeric powder, chili powder, and cream to the bowl. Mix for 10 seconds on speed 7.
4.Scrape the sides of the mixing bowl to ensure all the ingredients are incorporated. Add water, tomato puree, bay leaves, cardamom pods, cloves, and cinnamon sticks to the bowl. Mix for 10 seconds on speed 7.
5.In a frying pan, heat oil and add the chicken pieces. Cook for 5-10 minutes, or until the chicken is browned. Add the chicken to the mixing bowl, along with the garam masala. Cook for 20 minutes on 100C, speed 1.
6.Serve the Thermomix Chicken Korma hot, garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
