4 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
1 1/3 cups warm water
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
1 package active dry yeast
1 egg
1 tablespoon water

Instructions

6.Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.
7.Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
8.Whisk the egg and water together and brush over the loaves.
9.Sprinkle the remaining cornmeal on top.
10.Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on.
11.Cool before slicing and devouring!
