Ingredients

1 pink lady apple
1 onion
1/2 cup butter , split into 4 portions
1 small pinch dried thyme
1 1/2 cups chicken liver
2 large pinch salt
1 large pinch pepper
1/4 lemon , juice of
3 tablespoons double cream
2 tablespoons brandy

Instructions

1.Rinse the apple thoroughly, slice into thin pieces, and set aside.

4.Add brandy and lemon juice to the pan, and cook until the liquid is reduced.
5.Transfer all the contents of the pan and 2 portions of butter to a food processor, add double cream, and blend until smooth.
6.Grease a 3-cup container with the remaining butter, alternating it with apple slices. Pour the pate mixture into the container, cover it with foil, and refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving. Serve with toasted bread or crackers.
