Ingredients

3 cups beans ( pinto , kidney , red or black )
2 -3 tablespoons canola oil
1/2 yellow onion , chopped
2 carrots , chopped
3 stalks celery , chopped
2 garlic cloves , minced
2 -3 ham hocks
3 slices bacon , diced ( optional )
2 -3 cups cooked ham , diced ( optional )
1/2 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons oregano
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons garlic salt
1 tablespoon pepper

Instructions

8.Adjust the seasoning to taste and serve hot.
