1/2 cucumber , seeded , diced or julienned
1 red bell pepper , sliced thin
3 scallions , sliced diagonally
20 basil leaves , thinly sliced
toasted sesame seeds ( to garnish )
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 clove garlic , minced
1/4 cup rice wine vinegar ( or white vinegar , your choice )
2 tablespoons honey or 2 teaspoons sugar
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

1.In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, sliced red bell pepper, diced or julienned cucumber, sliced scallions, and thinly sliced basil leaves.
2.In a separate bowl, whisk together the vinegar, honey/sugar, minced garlic, sesame oil, canola oil, and crushed red pepper flakes until well combined.
3.Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss well to coat.
4.Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and serve chilled.
