Ingredients

500 g ground chicken
500 g ground sausage
1 cup breadcrumbs ( soft fresh )
1/4 cup coriander ( finely chopped )
2 green onions ( finely chopped )
1 chili ( large red , finely chopped )
1 garlic clove ( minced )
4 sheets puff pastry ( frozen , thawed )
1 egg ( lightly beaten )
3 teaspoons sesame seeds
1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
2 tablespoons lime juice ( or lemon juice )
1 teaspoon fish sauce
2 teaspoons ginger ( finely grated )
1 green onion ( finely chopped )
2 tablespoons water
These Thai Chicken Sausage Rolls are a unique twist on the classic sausage rolls. The combination of the spicy Thai flavors with the crispy pastry makes for a delicious and satisfying snack. These rolls make a great appetizer for parties or can be enjoyed as a light meal with a side salad. Serve them with the tangy dipping sauce on the side for an added burst of flavor.

Instructions

1.Preheat your oven to 200C/392F. Line a baking dish with parchment paper.
2.In a large bowl, mix together the chicken, sausage, breadcrumbs, coriander, green onions, chili, and garlic until well combined.
3.Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions.
4.Roll out one sheet of puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut the sheet in half lengthwise. Place a portion of the sausage mixture down the centre of each pastry half. Brush the edges with beaten egg and roll up the pastry to enclose the sausage filling.
5.Brush the rolls with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Cut each roll into 4 smaller portions. Place them, seam side down, on the prepared baking dish.
6.Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the rolls are golden and crispy.
7.While the rolls are baking, mix together sweet chili sauce, lime juice, fish sauce, ginger, green onion, and water in a small bowl.
8.Serve the rolls hot with the dipping sauce on the side.
