Ingredients

1/4 lb raw deveined/peeled shrimp
1/4 lb raw sea scallops or 1/4 lb bay scallop
2 cloves minced/crushed garlic
1 package fresh/refrigerated linguine
1 can diced tomatoes with onion and garlic ( Delmonte )
1 tablespoon oil ( olive or any type will do )
1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine
salt and pepper
fresh basil ( julienne ) ( optional )

Instructions

1.Boil a large pot of water and cook the linguine according to package directions.
2.While the pasta cooks, heat up a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the oil and butter until the butter melts.
3.Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
4.Add the shrimp and scallops and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the seafood turns pink and is fully cooked.
5.Add the can of diced tomatoes to the skillet and stir everything together.
6.By now, the pasta should be cooked. Drain it well and add it to the skillet with the seafood and tomato sauce.
7.Toss everything together until the pasta is coated in the sauce, then serve hot. Top with fresh basil if you desire.
