Ingredients

1 bunch gai lan
3 cloves garlic , chopped
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon fish sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

1.Cut off the bottom of the gai lan stems and peel the tough fibrous outer layer with a knife.
2.Fill a large pot with salted water and bring to a boil. Add the gai lan and blanch for 2 minutes, then transfer to a colander and rinse with cold water.
3.In a small bowl, whisk together the garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, fish sauce, and sesame oil to make the dressing.
4.Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the dressing and stir for a few seconds until fragrant. Then add the blanched gai lan and toss for 1-2 minutes until coated with the dressing and tender.
