1 onion , finely chopped
1 teaspoon salt

dried dill weed
1 package active dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water
1 cup milk
3 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
4 cups all-purpose flour
3 cups oil ( for frying )

Instructions

1.In a large bowl, combine ground beef, finely chopped onion, salt, black pepper, and dill.
2.In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
3.In another bowl, beat eggs, milk, vegetable oil, sugar, and salt.
4.Add yeast mixture to the egg mixture.
5.Gradually stir in flour until dough forms.
6.Knead the dough for 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
7.Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours.
8.Roll the dough out to a 1/4 inch thickness.
9.Cut the dough into 3 inch circles.
10.Spoon a tablespoon of beef mixture onto each circle.
11.Fold the dough over the filling, then pinch the edges together to seal.
12.Heat oil over medium-high heat.
13.Fry the piroshki until golden brown. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
14.Serve and enjoy!
