Tavuk Gogsu is a traditional Turkish pudding that has been enjoyed by generations. It is a uniquely flavored dessert that is made from a combination of chicken, milk, sugar, and rice flour. The recipe dates back to the Ottoman Empire, where it was served as a savory dish, but over time it evolved into a sweet dessert. This dessert is a popular item in Turkey and other parts of the Middle East, where it is served during special occasions like weddings and high-end events. Although it is somewhat involved to make, the taste and texture make it worth the effort for those who crave a one-of-a-kind dessert experience.

Instructions

1.In a large pot, add the sugar and heat over medium heat until the sugar melts and turns caramel brown in color. Add heavy cream and mix well.
2.Cut the chicken breast into small pieces and cook in a separate pot until it's thoroughly cooked. Allow the chicken to cool before shredding it into small pieces.
3.Add shredded chicken, milk, and vanilla extract to the caramel mixture and bring to simmer. Cook for 10 minutes on low heat.
4.Add rice flour or cornstarch and butter to the mixture and continue to cook for another 10 minutes, stirring constantly, until the pudding has thickened.
5.Pour the mixture into a deep dish and let it cool at room temperature for 10-15 minutes, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before slicing and serving.
