salt , pepper , a few cloves

3 peppercorns

bacon , and bacon bone
1 lemon , juice of

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2.Cut rabbit into serving portions and place in a deep pot.
3.Add water to cover rabbit and bring to boil.
4.Add salt, pepper, grated nutmeg, peppercorns, peeled and chopped onion and bacon bone.
5.Reduce heat and simmer until rabbit is tender (about 45 minutes).
6.Remove rabbit from pot and set aside.
7.Remove bacon bone and discard.
8.Strain remaining broth from pot through a fine-mesh strainer into a bowl and set aside.
9.In a separate pot, add bacon and cook for 2-3 minutes.
10.Add the strained broth and cook until thickened.
11.Add rabbit to the pot and stir gently.
12.Squeeze the juice of one lemon over the rabbit and serve hot.
