Ingredients

1 cup mashed potatoes , packed
2 egg whites
1/4 cup cornstarch
2 tablespoons minced water chestnuts , fresh
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon msg
2 tablespoons black sesame seeds or 2 tablespoons white sesame seeds
2 cups oil
1/4 cup distilled white vinegar
1/4 cup dry sherry
2 tablespoons Braggs liquid aminos or 2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons catsup
2 tablespoons water
5 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
T'ang Ts'u Wan Tzu is a popular Chinese dish that is often served as an appetizer. It is prepared using mashed potatoes, water chestnuts, cornstarch, and sesame seeds. Instructions

1.In a bowl mix mashed potatoes, egg whites, cornstarch, water chestnuts, salt and MSG.
2.In another bowl mix vinegar, sherry, Braggs liquid aminos or soy sauce, catsup, water, sugar and cornstarch.
3.In a skillet heat up oil.
4.Once hot, make the mashed potato mixture into 2 inch balls, roll them in the sesame seeds and gently place them in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown.
5.Once done, place the balls on a paper towel to soak any excess oil.
6.In another skillet, add in the prepared sauce mixture and heat until bubbly and thick. Add in the fried potato balls and coat well with the sauce.
