Ingredients

1 cup plain nonfat yogurt

4 red snapper or 4 other firm white fish fillets ( 5-6 oz each )
cooking spray
1/2 cup vertically sliced red onion
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon garam masala

1 cup finely chopped cucumber , seeded
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

Instructions

1.In a large bowl, mix the yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, paprika, ginger, garlic, salt, red pepper, turmeric (optional), and black pepper together.
2.Slash the red snapper fillets a few times and add them to the bowl, making sure both sides are coated with the marinade.
3.Cover the bowl with cling film and let the fish marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
4.Preheat the oven to 400°F, line a baking sheet with foil, and lightly coat it with cooking spray.
5.Place the marinated fish fillets on the baking sheet and bake them for 12-14 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
6.While the fish is baking, mix the red onion, lemon juice, salt, garam masala, yogurt, cucumber, cilantro, and black pepper together in a medium bowl to make the yogurt sauce.
7.Serve the baked fish fillets with the spiced yogurt and cucumber ribbons on top.
