Taco Tubs are a festive spin on the classic taco dish. By using individual taco shells as edible vessels filled with flavor-packed ground meat, this recipe reduces waste and makes it easier for guests to enjoy their food without the worry of toppings falling off. The addition of colorful vegetables, including crisp carrots, celery, and juicy grape tomatoes, create a visually stunning display. Pick up a taco shell, fill it with the meat, top it with a few veggie dippers, and enjoy the flavors of Mexico in one tasty bite.

Instructions

1.In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat for 8-10 minutes or until fully cooked.
2.Add taco seasoning of choice and 1/2 cup of water to the skillet, stirring to coat the beef evenly. Reduce heat and let the mixture simmer for 5-7 minutes.
3.While the beef simmers, prepare the dipping sticks by washing and cutting the celery into lengths and peeling and cutting the carrots into julienne. Wash the grape tomatoes and cut the cheese into small cubes.
4.Arrange the dipping sticks on a serving platter and place the grape tomatoes and cheese cubes in small bowls to serve alongside the taco meat.
5.To make the taco tubs, heat the hard taco shells according to package directions. When they are heated, carefully remove the tacos from the oven and allow them to cool enough to handle. Fill each taco with a spoonful of the taco meat mixture and place them back onto the serving platter.
