Ingredients

1 loaf round unsliced bread ( not sweet )
8 ounces swiss cheese
1 cup fresh mushrooms , sliced
1/4 cup butter
1 1/2 teaspoons poppy seeds
2 garlic cloves
1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
Swiss Mushroom Loaf is a bread that is stuffed with melted swiss cheese and seasoned mushrooms. The recipe is easy to prepare and can be made within a short time. Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2.Cut bread into 1-inch slices, using a long serrated knife. Cut slices diagonally, but not all the way through the bread, about 1-inch apart.
3.Melt butter in a pan, add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic and sauté over low heat for 5 minutes.
4.Add poppy seeds, seasoned salt, ground mustard, and lemon juice and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
5.Place the sliced swiss cheese in between every few slices of bread.
6.Stuff mushroom mixture in between all slices.
7.Wrap the bread in foil and bake for 15 minutes.
8.Unwrap and bake for additional 10-15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bread is crispy on the outside.
