1/2 cup buttermilk

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 8-inch (20 cm) cake pan with butter or cooking spray and dust it with flour.

3.In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

9.Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan and transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
10.In a bowl, whisk together icing sugar, milk, lemon juice, and lemon zest until smooth.
