Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
3/4 lb ground pork
1 1/4 cups fine breadcrumbs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 1/2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon minced parsley
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons fresh dill ( or 1 tsp dried )
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 dash nutmeg
1 dash ginger

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2.In a small pan, sauté the chopped onions in butter until soft. Set aside to cool.
3.In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, dill, eggs, salt, pepper, nutmeg, ginger, and cooled onions until well combined.
4.Form the mixture into balls (about 1 1/2 inches in size) and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
5.Bake for 20-25 minutes or until they are lightly browned.
6.Meanwhile, make the gravies. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Whisk in the flour until smooth.
7.Slowly pour in the beef broth and heavy cream, whisking constantly until the gravy is smooth and thickened.
8.Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve the meatballs hot with the white and brown gravies, mashed potatoes, and lingonberry sauce on the side.
