Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2.In a large bowl, cut the cold butter into 1 cup of flour until the mixture becomes crumbly.
3.Add 2-4 tablespoons of ice water, one tablespoon at a time, and stir the mixture with a fork until a dough forms.
4.Roll out the dough into a rectangle, about 12x18 inches in size.
5.In a saucepan, bring 1 cup water and 1/2 cup butter to a boil. Add 1 cup flour, stirring constantly, until the mixture forms into a ball.
6.Add 3 eggs, one at a time, beating each egg in before adding the next.

9.Roll up the dough lengthwise, trimming and sealing the ends as needed.
10.Place the kringle on a baking sheet and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown.
11.Let cool.
12.In a small bowl, mix together 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon soft butter, 1/4 teaspoon almond extract, and 1-2 tablespoons cream or milk to make the glaze.
13.Drizzle the glaze over the cooled kringle.
