Surmælksfrugtbrød or Danish Sour-Cream Fruit Bread is a traditional bread in Denmark. It is a sweet and dense bread that is perfect for breakfast or as a snack with coffee or tea. The use of sour cream makes the bread moist and tender while the combination of dried apricots, prunes, and almonds add natural sweetness and a nutty flavor. It's a great way to use up leftover sour cream and dried fruit. You can also add candied fruit or powdered sugar on top for an extra touch of sweetness.
